As Stardoll recently hit 10 years old, it seemed a good idea to make my own personal "Years of Stardoll" post, so here we are! I wanted to document how I've changed over the years, with little tidbits inbetween about things I remember of Stardoll.
At 12 years old, I joined Stardoll on the 3rd of October 2007. While I'm sure I had another profile before that (I just don't remember the username or password), 3rd of Oct is going to be my annual anniversary date. It's now 2016 and I'm 20, going on 21. So let's start from the beginning...
2007 - 2008
The doll on the left is the first "paperdoll" I saved to my album (well, of my doll, anyway.) This was probably the first time I ever bought Stardollars. Stardollars were way harder to come by back then, infact the only way to get SD was by purchasing them with real life money. Around the age of 12, I actually had a bit of a wanna-be emo thing going on... (cringe.) It was quite the norm for people around my age around that time, and it seeped into my Stardoll world aswell. I really liked that bandana top!
I believe it was around late 2008/09 that I went on quite a long hiatus, and also didn't save any paperdolls.
2011 - 2015
So here we have early 2011 Arliss, when I came back after a long period of time. I don't know what I was thinking, honestly. I know I was going for a bit of a harajuku vibe with the outfit, and I did okay, but in general this isn't a good look... Let me just get some holy water to cleanse my eyes.

Those crazy eyes though O_O |
I remember I loved this hairstyle, and I would keep my hair navy blue as a sort of "signature" colour for my doll. Stardoll had also launched Spring Surprises around this time, which I remember absolutely loving (which is where the bow shoes came from, I believe).

Late 2011 Arliss |
Things are starting to change for the better around this time. I remember the outfit on the left was inspired by peacocks, and the one on the right was inspired by work/business fashion.
I still absolutely love the outfit on the left. The outfit on the right was inspired by stereotypical French fashion... (just go with it LOL). This was also around the time Stardesign Jewelry came out I think, and I'd bought my first wig! (I've never actually bought a Stardesign Hair wig...)
I still really like these two outfits too, and wanted to share.

Daaaamn Arliss, back at it again with the crazy eyes! |
Early 2015 and my doll was beginning to become who she is today. The middle doll is wearing the first piece of limited release clothing I ever bought. The semi-harajuku inspired outfit on the right is also 10x better than my previous attempt!
It was around this time that I took a 1 year hiatus.
2016
What I changed into when I came back. I wanted to strip down her whole look and re-invent her image (in a sense), and this is what I came up with. Looooove those shoes! ♥
My Golden Stardoll Awards attire, March 1st. It was a lot of fun putting this outfit together, and the event itself was lovely! All the dollies on Twitter came together and we all had our dresses on and our hair did. It was awesome.
Probably one of my favourite outfits to date. I love the minimalism and how chic it is, and PPQ is one of my all time fave stores.
How I look today. This outfit was actually inspired by the first paperdoll! I wanted to keep it similar, but with a new updated style, hair, make up (although I used the same Sephora Kat Von D Blood Red Lipstick!) and clothes.
So what have we learnt from all this? Well, I seem to really love my Voile Sequined Pumps... and that no matter what age I am, I have always and probably will always love and enjoy Stardoll.
